Whatever its age or style, we give your furniture the TLC it needs to reach its full potential. Once at the studio, every piece receives a detailed assessment and a tailored recommendation.
If your furniture is relatively new, comfortable and in good working order, a re-cover may be all that’s needed. Ideal for dealing with a stubborn stain or because you’re ready for a new look.
When furniture begins to show signs of its age with some visible wear and tear, a partial rebuild can be a pragmatic solution. Existing components are reused wherever possible to minimize waste.
Bespoke cushions
Cushions expertly made to order in any size, shape, or trim.
Furniture that has structural issues, such as a sagging seat or a wobbly arm will likely require a full rebuild. The fabric and layers of upholstery are stripped back to the frame. From here your furniture is completely rebuilt as new.
About
Founded in 2025 by Sarah Osborn, Upholstery HQ offers upholstery and re-upholstery services across south-west London and Surrey.
Following a career in music publishing, Sarah retrained as an upholsterer at the East London Furniture Institute (formerly part of London Metropolitan University) where her work won the Margaret Johnson Memorial Prize and third place in the Intermediate Upholstery Skills Award from the Worshipful Company of Upholders. She is now in the final year of her studies to complete her diploma and combines this with commissions from her home studio in Richmond-upon-Thames.
